  1. The first book I've read in a foreign language, on Freemasonry, was a "Masonic guide," by Bernard E. Jones, written in 1957. That book was my favorite source of information on Freemasonry outside my country, Serbia. It took me many years. plenty of books and personal experiences that I realized that this guide is incomplete and outdated. It took many decades to appear excellent book by David Harrison, "The Transformation of Freemasonry" which throws a completely new light on the phenomenon of Freemasonry, their symbolism, ideas and social conditions in 18. and 19. century in the United Kingdom. Very good book for all who wants to learn more about this phenomenon !
